AHA ACLS Provider/Renewal

Course Description

American Heart Association (AHA) 2025 Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Provider (Initial/Refresher) is the AHA preferred course for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiac arrest, stroke, or other cardiopulmonary emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, critical care/intensive care, and surgery such as Physicians, Nurses, and Paramedics, as well as others who need an ACLS course completion card for a job or other requirement.

 The course contains the following elements.

  • Systematic approach (assessment)
  • High-quality BLS
  • Airway management
  • Rhythm recognition
  • Defibrillation
  • Intravenous (IV)/intraosseous (IO) access (information only)
  • Use of medications
  • Cardioversion
  • Transcutaneous pacing
  • High-performance teams

Course Format

ACLS is an 8-hour in-class session.

Length of Course

Course is 8 Hours, and all classes start at 9:00 AM.

Course Location

IMD - 3101 N Central Avenue Suite 790 Phoenix, Arizona 85012 (IMD Administration) and at various AZ, UT and CA satellite locations.

Course Cost

The AHA ACLS Course is $160.00.

Prerequisites

The ACLS program requires that class participants must complete the ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment and Precourse Work the AHA learning network found here:

** NOTE - Successful completion of the ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment and Textbook is REQUIRED to attend the in-class session and there will be no exceptions to this policy.

Course Completion Certificate or Card

An AHA ACLS Provider e-Card is issued immediately upon completion (and class fee payment) that is valid for 2 years.

Required Texts

Participants may bring their own ACLS Provider manual (2025 AHA edition only) or purchase the e-book (or textbook) online found here.
